Students at Penn State Behrend did some spring cleaning of their own, and made some money in the process.
Their annual Trash to Treasure sale raised funds for the United Way of Erie County.
For five dollars bargain hunters got in the door to find good deals and help a good cause.
Many items were donated by students who are moving out for the summer.
"It's a help to the students because when they're packing up to go home there's only so much room in that car," said Ann Quinn who helped organize the event. "Then they realize 'oh, I better leave some things behind,' so that's where we get things."
Volunteers spent a week collecting and sorting the items for the sale.
