Kent State is leading the nine-team field at 14-over par 878 (291-300-287) after carding a one-under par 287 today. Ball State is three strokes behind the Rockets at 35-over par 899 (296-305-298) with Akron in fourth place at 38-over par 902 (307-300-295). Rounding out the team standings are Eastern Michigan (919) and Bowling Green (919) tied for fifth place followed by Miami (923), Ohio (941) and Northern Illinois (942).
The Golden Flashes' Taylor Pendrith holds a commanding eight-stroke advantage atop the individual leaderboard with an impressive 54-hole score of eight-under par 208 (70-68-70).
Sophomores Mike Lancaster (71-74-73) and Chris Selfridge (70-78-70) are tied for fourth place at two-over par 218 to lead UT. Lancaster was steady throughout his round with three birdies and four bogeys and was never one stroke above or below par. Selfridge had it going early and was five-under through 10 holes but three straight bogeys on No. 12, 13 and 14 left him at two-under for the day.
Freshman Otto Black is in 19th place at 13-over par 229 (77-75-77). He was at even-par through 13 holes but closed his round with bogey, double-bogey, par, bogey and bogey to finish with a 77.
Sophomore Jamie Richardson, who is tied for 21st place at 15-over par 231 (78-78-75), opened his round with a double-bogey but recovered nicely and finished his round with seven straight pars. Junior Oliver Holtsberry is tied for 36th place at 23-over par 239 (84-78-77). He was at one-over par through 13 holes but played his last five holes at four-over par.
