The Erie County Historical Society is promoting locally-grown food.
It's part of the "Farm to Table" campaign.
Nearly 100 people gathered at Frankie and May's Tuesday night, for the kick-off.
It's a national campaign focused on organic food, and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
And, it's the first time it's being introduced in Erie county
"It's all a part of the sustainability movement. It's really ironic that we were a bread basket region, and the historical society is reminding people that we can source local yet again." Said Caleb Pifer with the Historical Society.
The farm to table dinner takes place August 17th, in Girard.
