Plans for a new apartment complex were unanimously approved in Harborcreek Township Wednesday night.
The complex, being developed by Hudson Student Housing, will be off of Old Station Road near Penn State Behrend.
Plans call for a four-story building that would include 61 housing units, for 190 students.
As we've been reporting, the development initially drew some concern from neighbors, over a lack of green space. Township supervisors say that is no longer an issue.
"Ultimately the developer put in more than double the green space we require to protect the neighborhood," said Harborcreek Township Supervisor Dean Pepicello. "And that's certainly very good."
The building is set to open for the fall semester of 2014.
