A teenager is the latest victim of gun violence in Erie.

Police say a 17-year- old male was shot in the back around 11:00 p.m. Saturday night.

It happened in the 500 block of East 21st Street. Police responded to calls of shots fired, and when they arrived on the scene they found the victim.

He was taken to UPMC Hamot.

At this time here's no word on what lead to the shooting, and so far police have no suspects.
