With Fort LeBoeuf losing in the state softball titles last Friday, another high school year came to an end. I would not call it one of the best high school years since I have covered sports in this area for 25 some years, but it turned out pretty good with a lot of solid memories. We had our champions and near-champions, great athletes and great individual performances. Prep football stole the show with their unbeaten run to the state title and features some dynamic and great players, perhaps some of the best we've ever seen. Damion Terry, for example, will go down as not only one of the best QB's at Prep but in District 10 history too. But that was not all from Fort Leboeuf Volleyball to state champs in track and field, the efforts we saw is what makes high school sports so special. You never know heading into a new school year which athletes will emerge, which teams will come together to be the best and when the year is over, we just rewind, reboot and crank it up again. Good luck to all the athletes who are graduating to college or the real life and for those returning next season, work hard, your time is about to come !!!
