Agency Buys Long Vacant Corry Factory

Posted: Updated:

A long vacant, huge factory building in Corry has a new owner. And there is hope the deal might mean new jobs.

The Corry Area Industrial Development Corporation has purchased the vacant Erie Plastics plant along Route 6. The agency spent a year putting the deal together. And now will begin preparing the complex for tenants.

The goal is to attract 4 companies, creating 200-300 jobs.

The 430,000 square foot manufacturing plant has been vacant since Erie Plastics closed several years ago.
