One couple is traveling across the country to raise money for leader dogs, and stopped here in Erie on Tuesday night.
Mark and Debbie Mansell on Tuesday were in their 11th day of their 24-day trip across the country. They began in their hometown in Washington, and will end in California. When they're done, they will have traveled over 10,000 miles.
They're doing it all on their motorcycles, to raise money for leader dogs, that help the vision-impaired. It's something the Lions Club started over 70 years ago.
Last year, Mark raised over $100,000 while traveling on his bicycle, and hopes to raise that much again.
"The gift of the dog is really life-changing, and so through this effort, we've had a chance to meet people who have had their lives transformed and once you've experienced that and see that, it's pretty hard to stop," said Mark.
