Friday wasn't great weather for golf, but plenty of golfers still made their way to the course for a "fabulous" time.
They were out to support the National Association of Mental Illness of Erie County, as they hosted their first annual "Fabulous Golf Outing."
More than 100 golfers were at Venango Valley Golf Course in Saegertown.
Lilly Broadcasting was a sponsor of the event, and organizers presented our station with a special award for "outstanding support".
NAMI'd services are proven to better the lives of those battling mental illness.
"90 percent of those who go through their accredited programming have improved, and they know how to manage their situations. That's very impressive," said Golf Outing Chair Jim Martin.
The outing raised more than $15,000.
