Bikers hit the road Saturday in memory of a local firefighter killed in the line of duty.
They got on their motorcycles to raise money in memory of Michael Crotty, a firefighter killed while battling a fire in 2008.
Responders from Lawrence Park, Erie, Fairfield Hose, and Belle Valley were among those on the ride.
They took off from main street in Lawrence Park for a round trip to Corry and back.
Michael Crotty's brother Jim was touched by the show of support.
"For the Crotty family it's fantastic to see the outpouring of support," he said. "We lost such a young kid, and as the world changes, the importance of emergency response and first responders grows."
This was the sixth year for the ride, and last year it raised $4,000.
