Three outdoor kitchens for your house, too

An outdoor kitchen is just for people who really rolling in the dough, right? Wrong! While they're definitely an investment, quite a lot of homeowners have found ways to make outdoor kitchens a reality. Here are three outdoor kitchens that are not the most extensive or the most fancy outdoor kitchens, but they're great outdoor kitchens that are definitely good models for building your own outdoor kitchen.

The crucial components of an outdoor kitchen are a sink, a grill, and a counter. Refrigerators are nice, but can jack up the price of building an outdoor kitchen. Brick pizza ovens are also nice, but you can make pizza on a regular gas grill. Wine refrigerators? Forget it. Seriously. Don't even bother. Just bring the white wine out in a galvanized steel bucket full of ice. An oven and a dishwasher? Just be tough and cook on the grill, and bring the dirty dishes back to the indoor kitchen.

Keep it simple, and you can build an outdoor kitchen that you'll enjoy for years, without breaking the bank.

This stone outdoor kitchen has just the essentials: A great counter top, a sink, and of course a burly grill. It was built by Stone-Crete Artistry, a concrete and stone contractor in Burns, Tennessee.

Corrugated metal and rustic wood are perfect lower-cost materials to build an outdoor kitchen from. All you need is a good carpenter, some sweet reclaimed building materials, and an artistic vision.

We're getting a little fancier with the brick oven in this outdoor kitchen. What this bad boy shows is that you can install a small brick oven; it doesn't have to be a massive masonry project. The combination of wood and brick is also really neat!
