We have an update on an unfair labor practice charge against General Electric, filed by UE 506.
Back in May, the union filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board regional office in Pittsburgh.
The charge? That GE for six months, had been transferring work to its new Texas facility.
That was before notifying the union and starting a the "decision bargaining" process required by law.
We've learned that the NLRB in Pittsburgh has made a recommendation in the case.
But, because they believe it's a case of national significance, they've submitted it to the NLRB headquarters in Washington for review.
The advisory office in DC has had the case for more than a month.
If the NLRB sides with the union, there could be a trial, a fine for GE, or they could be compelled to return the work to Erie.
