Less than 24 hours to the big Tall Ships festival kickoff on Thursday.
Several of the ships have already made their way to Erie's waters, including the "Hindu" and the "Pride of Baltimore."
Security from the local, state, and national level arrived at the Bayfront Wednesday afternoon, as well as some early tourists.
This summer the Niagara has been in several Tall Ships Festivals around the country, and the Niagara's captain Wesley Heerssen, Jr. is blown away by the support in his vessel's hometown.
"To have this amount of publicity, of people coming out, all the volunteers, all these great ships that are coming to see our harbor, it's just a fantastic experience."
