A lot of controversy in North East surrounding wind turbines being built on Burch Farms.
Tim Burch, whose family has owned the farm for six generations, leased his property to the wind energy company "Pioneer Green".
Now Township Supervisors must vote on a new ordinance to regulate windmills in North East.
Neighbors have been outspoken about their concerns.
Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. the public can express their opinions at the North East Township Municipal Building.
Neighbors are worried about the possibility of noise and a decrease in property value, but Burch says he and the township have done their homework, and he encourages the public to get informed.
"Without this ordinance, if the supervisors do not pass it, legally they could come in and put windmills up anywhere they would so decide," Burch said. "This ordinance is gonna have very stringent setbacks from property lines from people's houses."
If they do not have time to reach a decision on the ordinance Tuesday night, Supervisors may push the vote to the Township meeting on Monday.
