Some people are getting into the Christmas Spirit a little early this year at Grace Church on Friday night during the packing party for Operation Christmas Child.
This weekend, volunteers are hoping to pack 22,000 boxes. Those will then be delivered to kids in more than 100 countries.
Operation Christmas Child gives gifts to children across the world, who may wake up Christmas Morning without any presents.
"These boxes are going to the hands on a child who may have never had a gift before in their life, never owned anything new," said Kathy Schriefer, Erie Coordinator of Operation Christmas Child. "So for them, just getting a simple pencil can mean that they can go to school, getting a stuffed toy is a huge treasure. These simple boxes are going to make a huge difference."
The packing party continues again Saturday at Grace Church from 9 AM until 4 PM. Volunteers are welcomed.
