Here are Sunday results from several Bowling Green State University teams. The Falcon men's soccer team battled host Northern Kentucky to a scoreless draw in Highland Heights, Ky., with goalkeeper Michael Wiest making three saves to earn his third shutout of the year. The Falcons are now 1-4-4 overall, and will travel to Buffalo for a Friday match vs. the Bulls.
The women's soccer team suffered a 5-1 loss at Kent State on Sunday afternoon, with senior Madeline Wideman scoring BGSU's lone goal. The Brown and Orange will return home to begin a four-game homestand with matches vs. Eastern Michigan Friday night (Oct. 4) and Western Michigan Sunday afternoon (Oct. 6).
The Falcon tennis team wrapped up play at the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio, on Sunday. No team scores were kept at the event, which included Xavier and Louisville as well as the Falcons and the host RedHawks, but Falcon seniors Nikki Chiricosta and Emily Reuland each posted a pair of wins on Sunday. BGSU now prepares for the ITA Midwest Regional Championships, which run from Oct. 10-15 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The box score and play-by-play from Sunday's women's soccer match, as well as the complete results from the weekend tennis tournament, are attached. There are some issues with the stats from the men's soccer match at NKU; if/when I get those issues resolved, I will forward those stats along to you. Thanks,
