The preliminary hearing for a Crawford County man charged with a bizarre murder has been delayed until next month. Sixty-eight year old Richard Houy is charged with killing 55 year old Gerald Van Dyke, his daughter's boyfriend.
His preliminary hearing, originally set for this week has been postponed until November 26, before District Judge Lincoln Zillhaver.
Police found a body they think is Van Dyke stuffed in a metal drum near Houy's property. The head and hands were missing.
Police are still waiting for DNA results before they can positively identify the body as Van Dyke.
Houy remains in the Crawford County Jail without bond.
