The Millcreek Township School District is looking to get their finances in order.
Wednesday night, members of the board heard from Alpern Rosenthal, a Pittsburgh-based accounting firm. They showed off the work they did with the Northwest Tri County Intermediate Unit.
Official cost of hiring the firm is unknown, but sources tell us that it could cost over $50,000.
Superintendent Bill Hall said he liked what he heard from the firm.
"I think they bring a lot to the table and I think it's time that we devote the time and effort into making sure that our business process are efficient and grounded in best practices."
No official action was taken Wednesday night, but the board did agree to move forward with the firm. Next step will be for Alpern Rosenthal to come in for a no cost analysis.
