The historic Blue Streak wooden roller coaster at Conneaut Lake Park, left a group of riders stranded at the top Saturday night. Sources tell Weekends Now that the coaster broke down leaving 24 riders stuck on top one of the coasters famous hills.
Emergency dispatchers called for the Summit and Conneaut Lake Township fire departments to assist in rescuing the riders. There were no reports of any injuries.
Conneaut Lake Park attractions were open Saturday night as part of an October event called Ghost Lake Park 13 Levels of Fear. We don't know what caused the roller coaster to break down. The Blue Streak is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
