LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC) is pleased to announce that Audra Strickland will join HASC as Regional Vice President of Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties beginning November 1st. Audra will be responsible for managing the local and regional legislative and regulatory issues affecting the healthcare delivery system in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, as identified by the hospitals located in that region.
In her previous role as Assemblywoman for the 37th Assembly District, Audra represented 450,000 people in Ventura, Los Angeles and Kern counties; served as Vice Chair of Assembly Accountability and Administrative Review Committee; and was a senior member of the Assembly Health Committee. Audra authored, introduced and passed legislation in multiple policy areas while serving in the legislature. Prior to being elected, she taught American history and language arts at the junior high school level. Audra also spent several years working for the Legislature as staff prior to teaching. She received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine.
