A big crowd cam out Monday night, as the two the candidates vying to become Erie County's next sheriff went head-to-head.
Gannon University hosted a County Sheriff debate between Democrat John Loomis and Republican Eddie Whiteman. Loomis is a Captain of the Sheriff's Department, and Whiteman is a local businessman, who owns and operates Eddie's Collectibles Towing.
During the open forum, each talked about their vision and goals for sheriff.
Meanwhile, another forum was going on at the same time Monday for Erie County Judge.
Bob Sambroack and Bill Kelly took part in a Judicial Forum at Mercyhurst University. During the forum, both candidates stressed their experience, in hopes of gaining the support of voters.
