Hundreds of kids started their Halloween candy haul early on Thursday at the Erie County Courthouse.
Every year the courthouse invites local kids to trick- or- treat through its offices.
Witches, super heroes and princesses came from several schools to start their Halloween off with plenty of candy.
Early Connections daycare and the YMCA brought kids as young as three years old, and some Erie elementary schools got in the spirit, too.
The courthouse staff even dressed up to hand out sweet treats to the kids.
"Oh we love it, we get so excited every year when they come in," said courthouse employee Elena Palotas. "It's like we're trick- or- treating, you know, so we love it."
