A major computer glitch at Erie county's 911 center is handcuffing Erie police.
The county's Record Management System is an integral tool for police work.
But, the 911 center tells us that a major hardware failure at the 911 center caused the system to crash.
So, officers haven't been able to access records for days.
Todd Geers, director of the 911 center says they have to completely replace the server and software, and they're at the mercy of computer scientists, who will travel to Erie to do that.
Once they arrive, it should take a couple of days to fix.
It's expected to be back online within a week.
