Crawford County Woman Gets Life In Prison For Murder

Posted: Updated:

One of the two Crawford county women charged with killing another woman and burying her alive, tearfully pleads guilty Thursday to first degree murder.

A judge then sentenced Ashley Barber to a mandatory sentence of life in prison.

Barber gave graphic testimony Thursday morning, about the death of 19-year old Brandy Stevens in May of 2012.
Prosecutors alleged that Barber and 20-year-old Jade Olmstead lured Stevens to their home near Cochranton, then beat her with a shovel and buried her in a backyard shallow grave.
It was all in connection to a love triangle between the three.

Less than a month ago, a judge sentenced Olmstead to life in prison without possibility of parole.
We'll bring you more from inside the courtroom tonight 12News starting at 5:00 and SEE news at 6.
