Erie Men Charged In Robbery/Burglary Ring Learn Their Fate

Posted: Updated:

One of the two suspects on trial for their part in an alleged robbery/burglary ring is found guilty of just one charge.

Erie police accused 25-year old Rashaad Jones and 20-year old Marquise Barnett of committing several burglaries and robberies throughout Erie county.
Investigators say they were part of a crime ring group that called themselves the "Stick Up Kidz."

But, after a 2-day trial, a jury Wednesday afternoon acquitted them on more than a dozen charges.
The jurors found Barnett guilty of one charge of receiving stolen property.
This charge was for receiving a stolen big screen TV.
Jones was acquitted on all charges against him.

Earlier in the trial on Tuesday, a judge dropped charges of corrupt organization against both defendants.
