Downtown Erie is getting ready for the holidays, and Friday night the lights will get turned on for the 8th annual Downtown Delights.
A large tree with new decorations went up on the outside of the Boston Store earlier in the week.
Thousands of lights are already in place in Perry Square, ready to be turned on,
This year, ice carving is added to the entertainment, along with carriage rides, and of course, Santa Claus.
Organizers expect about 4,000 people to spend their evening downtown Friday night.
The event is scheduled from 5:00 to 8:00, with the lights getting turned on at 6:15.
