The business manager of the financially-troubled Millcreek Township School District, has resigned.
Linnea Lincoln recently submitted her letter of resignation, the school board still has to accept it.
Her resignation comes during a comprehensive review which is being conducted by a Pittsburgh-based accounting firm.
They're reviewing the district's business operations.
Lincoln was the business manager when former Superintendent Michael Golde transferred $5 Million dollars from a capital projects fund to the district's operating budget.
The district has been dealing with a lot of financial problems ever since.
We're told, her resignation is effective in January.
The following is a statement from the district,
"Last Friday, Mrs. Linnea Lincoln submitted a letter of resignation as Business Manager of The Millcreek Township School District, effective January 17, 2014. "We would like to thank Mrs. Lincoln for her service to the District and wish her nothing but the best in the future," said Superintendent William Hall. The District will begin an immediate search for her replacement."
