Posted: Updated:

A bizarre story out of western New York.

A family there is facing charges in Chautauqua County, after police say they showed a toddler how to smoke pot.

The Chautauqua County sheriff's office has charged the 23-month old's mother, 17-year old Jessica Kelsey along with the child's grandfather 54-year old Don Baker.
Jessica's husband 18-year old George Kelsey is also charged.

Chautauqua County police say back on December 5th the trio assisted the 23-month old boy in smoking marijuana from a lit bowl at their home on South Erie street in Mayville, New York.
Investigators say they encouraged, and helped with the act.

All 3 are charged with reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child.
They were placed in jail on $10,000 bond.
The child, along with another sibling, are in the care of child protection services.
