Kohl's did things a little differently this year when it came to Christmas shopping. They decided to keep their doors open for almost four straight days. They've been open since Friday, December 20 at 6 AM, and won't close until Christmas Eve at 6 PM.
Employees at the Kohl's on Upper Peach tells us the shopping marathon hours have been great for business, company-wide. But are the extended hours something customers like?
"I'm glad I don't have to work here," said Steve Wahonick, of Conneaut, Ohio. "I guess for people like myself [who shop late] they need the store open late."
"If you think of something in your head, you want to get it, you just come out and get it," said James Williams, of Erie. "It's pretty good."
Associates at Kohl's said they've noticed a good number of shoppers coming in during those early morning hours. They say it's especially helpful to those who don't work a typical shift.
"Mine is definitely not 9-5, and it's convenient for me, yes," said Ed Zajac, of Erie. "The weekends and stuff like that, with them staying open last is a big convenience for me."
Many shoppers out the hours before the holiday say they expect the trend of starting the sales earlier and keeping the stores open later, is only going to continue.
The shopping marathon at Kohl's comes to an end at 6 PM Christmas Eve.
