Travel with caution on this Christmas Eve. A lake effect snow warning remains in effect until 10 PM est this evening...  * accumulations...additional accumulation of 4 to 6 inches for a   storm total of 5 to 9 inches where bands persist.  * timing...periods of moderate to heavy snow will continue into   the afternoon with some decrease toward sunset and this evening.  * winds...west to northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph. The gusty winds   will cause some drifting of snow in open areas.  * impacts...snow will make roads slick...requiring lower speeds   and greater distances between vehicles while driving.   conditions will be variable with heavy snow possible within   lake effect snow bands.  * temperatures...temperatures nearly steady from 17 to 22 degrees.  * visibilities...visibilities will vary from up to 2 miles to   below a half mile in strong lake effect snow bands.
