Erie Police are investigating a theft at St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
They're looking for the person who stole the baby Jesus, from their nativity scene.
Cheryl Pierce, the church's secretary, said she made the discovery Thursday morning when she got to the church. She noticed the door was open, and quickly realized that the baby Jesus was missing.
Pierce said that the statue is worth very little money, but has a big sentimental value attached to it. It was painted by a church member who passed away, a few years ago.
Pierce said she's hoping the person who stole the statue will return it.
