Venango Teen Sentenced For Killing His Grandparents

Posted: Updated:

A Venango county teenager has been sentenced to between 35 and 80 years in jail, for the shooting deaths of his grandparents.

Zachary Proper received that sentence, despite being only 14 years old.
Proper plead guilty Tuesday to shooting George and Dorothy Fross in their Franklin-area home, in October of 2012.
The judge sentenced him immediately after the plea.
He's being sentenced as an adult, because in juvenile court he would be released when he turns 21.
