It's been a wild ride with the temperatures over the last week, from sub zero to the fifty's on Tuesday.
And those ups and downs have caused some major pothole action.
Crews in Erie are already working on the problem on Monday.
They were busy fixing up some of the troubled areas, including on west 10th and Plum streets.
The potholes are caused by water, which leaks under the roads' surface. When it freezes, it expands and ruptures the pavement.
The city has been getting lots of complaints already, especially about Buffalo road.
There are also several portions of west 12th street, covered with massive holes.
If you notice any troubled spots and want to report them, you can call 870-1340.
It's a 24 hour line.
