Big Names Prep for "Knock Out Homelessness" Boxing Match

Posted: Updated:

The big names fighting in this year's "Knock Out Homelessness, Round 7" trained at Bizzarro's Boxing Gym on Tuesday morning.

The night of exhibition boxing is just two weeks away, with Senator Sean Wiley slotted to take on Erie boxing legend Lou Bizzarro Senior.

Also on the fight card: pro wrestling champ "Big League" John McChesney versus John Bizzarro, as well as Lou Bizzarro Junior fighting Erie attorney Charbel Latouf.

All proceeds from the event will go towards Erie City Mission, which provides programs that feed the hungry and house the homeless.

"The City Mission gives back and really makes the lives of so many a little bit better. I tell you, it's going to be fun. We've been working out for the last couple of months and I've learned so much from him," said Sen. Wiley. "And I've learned that he has one heck of a right hook."

The night of boxing will be on Feb. 18, 6pm, at the Bayfront convention center. Tickets start at $40 dollars.
