It seems there's been no rest for our first responders this winter, as they've been battling one fire after another. And on Friday, they were recognized for their life saving work during the annual Public Safety Government Dinner at the Erie Maennerchor Club.
This dinner is a collaboration between UPMC Hamot and the Erie County Fire Fighter's Association. Employees from UPMC Hamot had the opportunity to thank our first responders for all they do.
"These individuals are out there and they're working hard and we just want to give back," said Jason Chenault, Senior Director of Emergency Services at UPMC Hamot.
"It's not easy working in this weather, in these conditions in Erie and obviously our opportunity is once a year to recognize their contributions to this," said Jim Fiorenzo, Presidents of UPMC Hamot.
