We want to advise those of you who watch our television stations on DirecTV, that there's a breakdown in contract negotiations between Lilly Broadcasting and DirecTV, and unless that's resolved, you may not be able to watch WICU12, WSEE TV, and The CW after 5:00 PM Monday February 10.
That's when the current retransmission agreement is set to expire. If it does expire, it will affect thousands of viewers in Erie, Crawford and Warren county who subscribe to DirecTV.
In order to guarantee that you receive WICU, WSEE and the CW channels, you may need to find an alternate source to view our signal. You can use an over the air antenna or subscribe to another satellite service or cable system.
According to Executive Vice President John Christianson, "Lilly Broadcasting provides some of the most quality and highest rated Network and syndicated programming on television today, including the Olympics, March Madness, 60 Minutes, The Big Bang Theory and NCIS, just to name a few. Our commitment to the local community is apparent not only through our local news, weather and sports, but through our telethons and benefits, including the Community For Kanzius Telethon, Red Cross Phone Bank and Drive Through Holiday Food Drive." Christianson added, "It is our hope that DirecTV will realize the value we bring to the local community and that together we can quickly reach an amicable agreement without a disruption of service."
