The weather seems to be the cause of a water main break on the city's east side, that lead to a sinkhole of sorts.
It happened around one o'clock Thursday afternoon. Jim Reichard said that he was driving along the 2700 block of East 30th Street when the road just caved in beneath him.
He said his truck feel into a hole, filled with water that kept bubbling.
"We were driving and all of the sudden it was like a fist came down and just said stop. It was scary, you're driving, and I was only going 15 MPH, and to hit with such force was amazing."
Reichard says his vehicle, which he uses for work, suffered some pretty extensive damage.
That hole was patched up by Erie Water Works.
