Students at Grandview Elementary School are really getting into the spirit of the Winter Olympics.
Thursday night, teachers, students, and their families participated in an event called "A Night In Sochi." It was filled with math and fitness activities, based of the Winter Games.
The idea came from the students excitement about the Olympics. Teachers say they've used the games to teach things like geography and math.
And it seems the entire school has gotten into it.
"We had a torch travel around the school today to all the classrooms, and the kids have been so excited about it, talked all about it," said Amy Sturm, a third grade teacher at the school. "It's just nice to bring the whole community together of Grandview and we've enjoyed it."
