The music at the Eastside YMCA's gym was pumping, as tons of people came out to Zumba Friday night for the 2nd Annual Zumbathon.
Over one hundred people turned out for the event.
This night was all about raising money for the Y's "We Build People" campaign which helps low-income families afford memberships to the YMCA.
"Its difficult to find new ways to fundraise," said Erica Kaliszewski, program director at the Eastside Y. "People get sick of you asking for money but this is such a fun event. Like I said, $12 a person, and we're selling our T-shirts, too. And 100% of the proceeds go directly toward funding those scholarships."
Kaliszewski said one in five families at the Eastside Y is on scholarship.
