Erie police are releasing more details tonight, on the fatal hit-and-run from last week.
After reviewing surveillance video and evidence, traffic investigators are looking for an older model Pontiac Grand Prix or Pontiac Grand Am, and they believe that it's red.
Corporal Anthony Letkiewicz says that the vehicle should have moderate to heavy front end damage, but could also have damage to the car's side and roof.
The incident happened last Thursday night in the area of West 15th and Liberty Streets.
51-year-old Emery Black was hit and killed as he tried to cross the street. The driver of the car took off without stopping.
Police have received several tips. But so far, no arrests have been made.
"This is probably one of the most difficult cases to investigate because you don't have the vehicle there," said Cpl. Letkiewicz. "You don't have people there...and the leads come in from the public."
If you have a tip, you're urged to call 870-1171.
