It's been nearly two months since Kathy Dahlkemper took over as Erie County Executive. But, she has yet to fill out her administrative staff.
So she's now calling on Erie County Council for help.
Dahlkemper is asking county council to sign off on a total of four positions, totaling an estimated $288,000. On Tuesday evening, council members met for the first reading of those proposals.
Dahlkemper has proposed an $86,990 salary for the Erie County Information Technology Director and $40,441 for a new administrative officer.
She's also requesting a $86,000 salary for the director of administration and a $75,000 salary for the public health director.
But council members have a lot to consider before making a decision.
"Council will consider those proposals," said Erie County Councilman Phil Fatica. "They are still at the decision level."
County council will further discuss the proposals at their next personnel meeting in March.
