The 49th Annual City County All-Stars Baseball Game is set to be played on June 23rd at Jerry Uht Park.
A kick-off event was held on Thursday at St. Vincent Hospital.
This year's game benefits the Children's Miracle Network and honors some of Erie's long-time baseball supporters.
John Light and Norm Boetger are this year's award recipients.
Light has been involved in baseball as a player and coach for 42 years.
Boetger was an avid supporter of boy's baseball in Erie. He was also an advocate for the organization.
"For him to be honored in this way, it would have meant so much to him," said Boetger's daughter, Liz Carlson. "I know he did a huge amount of work to promote this organization so I know he would be really proud that they are acknowledging his work," she said.
The Erie County Baseball Umpires, Inc. has sponsored the All-Star game for 23 years. Last year's All Star game raised nearly $13,00 dollars.
