The #AJO movement got a boost on Monday from a local fire department.
The Kearsarge Fire Department has been raising money for the cause, and on Monday they presented a check for $2,000 to the family of Alyssa O'Neill, who passed away after suffering a seizure last year.
The money came from t-shirt sales at the departments open house and online.
Deputy Chief Matthew Parker said they respond to seizure victims often, but don't usually have a chance to help in this way.
"Unfortunately due to the tragedy we rarely have an opportunity to give back," said Parker, "so we found an opportunity here with the AJO movement... getting some money back to the family to support their cause."
The money will go to the AJO Forever Fund, through the Erie Community Foundation.
