Ohio Crash Victim Could Be Erie Bank Robber

Posted: Updated:

Police believe that a man who crashed his vehicle in the Ashtabula area of Interstate 90 could be responsible for a morning bank robbery in Erie.

Police say a man walked into the First National Bank branch on upper Peach Street and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He then left the area in a white Chevy Traverse and it's believed he got on Interstate 90.

We don't know the details of the crash or if the police were involved. We do know that the man is in custody and police expect to bring him back to the Erie area to be arraigned.

Look for more details as they become available here and on WICU TV12 at 5pm and SEE News at 6.
