IT'S THE FINAL DAY IN ERIE FOR THIS CONTINGENT FROM THE COUNTRY OF GEORGIA.
FOUR OF THE VISITORS WORK AT A TV STATION IN THAT COUNTRY.
TWO ARE INTERPRETERS.
THEY CAME TO SEE FIRST HAND HOW TELEVISION NEWS IS GATHERED AND PRESENTED IN THE USA.
TIKO IS A NEWS PRODUCER.
"you do a lot of promos of different shows. Topicals, teasers and stuff like that. We didn't do that too. Now, we are going to do a lot more teasers and promos back at our station."
THE VISIT WAS NOT ALL BUSINESS AND WORK.
THE GEORGIANS MADE TIME TO GO TO A BAYHAWKS BASKETBALL GAME, AN OTTERS HOCKEY GAME, THE DARIUS RUCKER CONCERT, AND THE HUNTING AND FISHING EXPO, THEY ALSO WENT SHOPPING ON UPPER PEACH.
THEY EXPERIENCED WHAT MANY PEOPLE FROM THIS CITY TAKE FOR GRANTED.
"Either it's a basketball game or a hockey game or hunting exhibition. A concert or whatever. You can never be bored in this town."
TACO IS A NEWS REPORTER. SHE COULDN'T WAIT TO ARRIVE IN ERIE.
"When she was little, she was studying in school in geography, they studied the Great Lakes a lot. One of them was Erie Lake. So she knew about the place, the area."
AS TACO AND THE OTHERS RETURN TO THEIR COUNTRY BY THE BLACK SEA, THEY WILL REMEMBER ERIE AS A QUIET AND PEACEFUL TOWN, WHOSE PEOPLE ARE VERY RESPECTFUL.
IN ERIE, JOHN LAST REPORTING.###
