Fairview High School Honored For Making The Grade

Posted: Updated:

A local high school gets some high praise Friday, after scoring the highest rating of any high school in northwest Pennsylvania.

Fairview High School scored a 94.4 on their Pennsylvania School Performance Profile.
They're one of only three schools in our area to score above a 90.
Fairview high alumni, Senator Sean Wiley was on hand Friday to present the school a proclamation, in recognition of academic excellence.
Both Senator Wiley and Fairview's Principal David Park spoke very highly of this group of students.

"Most days you don't receive accolades, you just get up in the morning and do your thing, that's what all of our students do," said Park. "They get up very early, they work hard, a lot of them work hard late into the night," Park added.

"Their recognition, a 94.4 rating, is a commitment not only on the half of the faculty and administration but also the students, and that collaboration makes a huge difference and that's why we're here today," said Senator Wiley.

General McLane High School and Collegiate Academy also scored above 90.
