Wine lovers packed the Bayfront Convention Center Saturday for the annual Wine on the Lake event.
Erie native, Judy Husted has been coming to Wine on the Lake for the past 3 years.
"When the vendors know you and they look forward to seeing you, you know you've been here too much," said Husted. "We enjoy the vendors, we like to sample local wines and also the wineries that come here from other areas. It's like one stop shopping," she said.
52 vendors and 26 wineries were able to expose their products to nearly 4,500 wine lovers at this year's event.
"It brings people from Pittsburgh, and really just people from all around the area," said Ashlyn Zellefrow, of Courtyard Wineries. "Whoever doesn't know our name, whenever they come and try our wine, it gives us that great exposure, gets our name out there and keeps people coming back," she said.
Many agree, Wine on the Lake is the region's biggest and best wine tasting festival.
"We're from Jamestown and we actually heard about it on Facebook," said Wine on the Lake-goer, Renee Ferraloro. "It's so much fun and its really big; we had been to a wine tasting festival in Dunkirk and it wasn't even half as big as this one," she said.
It's no surprise that both tasting sessions were totally sold out.
