Waldameer Park held its third annual hunt for summer employees on Saturday at Rainbow Gardens.
More than 600 kids packed the room, forming long lines that wrapped around the perimeter.
Organizers say that they typically hire 80 percent of their summer employees at this job fair, many on the spot, but will continue to hire throughout the summer.
For many applying, this will be their first job.
"It was really nerve wracking because I didn't think there were going to be this many people here. And it's hard to watch people leave that are in front of you that don't get hired really," said Erica Groendendall, 15, of Erie. Come this summer, she will officially be a Waldameer employee. "I'm really happy," she said.
"Out of most of the people applying today that I've seen are younger people. So I think that just means the younger people are trying to be achievers and gain an experience in the work field," said Steve Gorman, president of Waldameer.
Those who missed the fair can still apply online at www.waldameer.com.
