March of Dimes announced a new partnership with local Burger King's on Saturday.
Starting this Monday (March 31) through April 6, customers can round up their orders to the nearest dollar, donating that change to support this year's "March for Babies" - a walk that will take place on April 27 from Rainbow Gardens onto Presque Isle State Park.
The organization works to improve babies' health by preventing premature births and birth defects.
Families at the event designed posters, sharing their personal stories of how March of Dimes has helped.
"Amelia was born at 26 weeks, she weighed only one pound, nine ounces when she was born. So we've been very much involved in the support for the March of Dimes," said Jennifer Lyons, with daughter, Amelia. "The research that March of Dimes did helped develop medication that helped Amelia when she was born."
"We're really excited to partner with the March of Dimes. They rely so much on the community support for their fundraising efforts, and this is just one way we can show our support," said Karla Mazza, Burger King's local marketing director.
Meadville and Titusville Burger Kings are also participating.
