By now you've heard that the Crooked I on State Street in downtown Erie is closing.
For more than four years now the quirky venue has provided a place for local talent to perform. And owner Marty Schwab has brought in interesting regional and national bands too, all to broaden Erie's musical horizons.
The owner had nothing but nice things to say about his time operating the bar and music club downtown. "It's been wonderful here in Erie, I've been embraced by musicians and patrons, it's been a great experience here."
Schwab says he has ideas about what he may do next but not that he's ready to talk about. For now he told us he's looking forward to a little rest and relaxation. The club closes with a big weekend. On Saturday a group called "Big Damn Band" is headlining, then Sunday "Potwhole" brings the venue to a close.
